Placido S Rodriguez

Elsa- Placido S. Rodriguez, 87, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at his residence in Elsa.

Mr. Rodriguez was born on October 5, 1934 to Mr. Anastacio Rodriguez and Mrs. Guadalupe S. Rodriguez in La Feria, Texas.

Mr. Rodriguez is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Anastacio Rodriguez and Mrs. Guadalupe S. Rodriguez; his brothers, Santos Rodriguez, Jose Espinoza, Natividad Rodriguez; his sisters, Adelaida Hernandez, Carolina Flores, Herlinda Trevino, Carlota Alaniz.

Left to cherish his memories is his Loving Wife of 62 years, Lorenza D. Rodriguez; his daughters, Maria Cristela Gonzalez, Maria Elizabeth Rodriguez, Yvette (Juan Carlos) Castellanos; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Rodriguez was a pillar in the Delta Area community by serving as an Elsa City Commissioner, Municipal Court Judge of Elsa, Edcouch & La Villa and he worked for 35 years at Nuestra Clinica del Valle in Edcouch. Placido was also a 3rd Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Rodriguez was also served our country in the Airforce. Mr. Rodriguez will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Visitation for Mr. Placido S. Rodriguez is scheduled for Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Angels in Elsa. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.
