Weslaco - Maria D. Fernandez, 79, passed away Monday, September 4, 2023 at Knapp Medical Center.
Mrs. Fernandez was born June 8, 1944 in Mexico, daughter of Fernando Fernandez and Epifania Espinoza. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rodolfo Corona Sanchez and her parents.
Left to cherish her memories are her children, Mario Corona, Noma Patricia Garcia Castillo, Ismael Corona, Alejandro Corona. Also surviving her are 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens in Weslaco. Funeral chapel service is scheduled for Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Merced Cavazos Cemetery in Santa Maria.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Weslaco.
