Isabel Vega Gorham

Port Isabel - Isabel Vega Gorham, 71, passed away Monday, May 23, 2022 at Aurora House in Weslaco.

Mrs. Gorham was born July 8, 1950 in Port Isabel, Texas, daughter of Marcial Vega and Juanita Rivera Vega. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Evaristo Herrera.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Evaristo Gorham; children, Gilbert Vega Gorham; David Gorham (Tracey), Esmeralda Cruz (Edgar); her brothers, Agapito Herrera, Eleno Vega; sisters, Frances Etheride, Josefa Luna, Maria del Carmen Gonzalez. Also surviving her are her grandchildren, Kimberly Gorham, Donovan Gorham, Verenice Cruz, Juan David Cruz, Nikki Garcia, Mary Garcia and her great-grandchild, Claire Marie Sierra.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. Funeral mass is scheduled for Friday, May 27, 2022 at 10:00 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel. As per her wishes, she will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
