Yvonne Trevino

September 2, 1969 — April 13, 2026

Edcouch- Yvonne R. Trevino, a beacon of kindness and warmth, passed away on April 13, 2026, in Weslaco, Texas. Born on September 2, 1969, in Chicago, Illinois, Yvonne's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and community.

Yvonne's gentle spirit and welcoming nature made everyone around her feel at ease, a gift she shared effortlessly throughout her life. She was deeply family-oriented, finding joy in the simple yet profound moments spent with loved ones. Whether it was gathered around the table during the holidays crafting her beloved tamales or sharing laughter while watching TikTok videos, Yvonne cherished these moments above all.

Her passions extended beyond family; she had a true love for gardening that mirrored her nurturing soul. Her garden was a living sanctuary filled with care and beauty-much like the arts and crafts she so enjoyed, where her creativity blossomed in many wonderful forms.

Yvonne's family was the centerpiece of her life. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Juan Manuel Trevino, and their cherished son, John Paul Trevino. Her mother, Francisca Rodriguez, and brother, Rolando (Margie) Rodriguez remain pillars of strength, carrying forward the love and legacy she so generously shared.

She was preceded in death by her father, Tomas Rodriguez Sr. , her brother, Tomas Rodriguez III and her sister, Rebecca, whose memories she held dearly in her heart.

Yvonne's passing leaves a tender emptiness in the hearts of all who knew her, but her spirit-kind, creative, and unconditionally loving-will forever be a guiding light. In remembering Yvonne, we honor a life filled with grace, compassion, and the unbreakable bonds of family. Her memory will continue to bloom like the garden she tended, a lasting tribute to a truly remarkable soul.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.
