It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Victorino Villalpando Jr., who departed this life on February 18, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on November 3, 1962, in Hearne, Texas, Victorino was a cherished son, devoted father, beloved brother, and loyal friend.
Victorino's life was a testament to hard work and dedication. As a truck driver, he traversed countless miles, sharing stories of his journeys and the beauty of the world through his eyes. His work exemplified his commitment to providing for his family, and his legacy will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
He is survived by his loving children, Roberto Gonzalez, Aracelli M. Villalpando, Victoria M. Villalpando and Ruby Ann Villalpando. Victorino also leaves behind his caring father, Victorino Villalpando Sr., and mother, Gloria C. Villalpando; his brother, Albert Villalpando (Jennifer); and his sister, Sandra Gilchrist (Robert). Also surviving are numerous uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces. Together, as a family, they will remember his laughter, strength, and the unwavering support he provided throughout their lives.
A celebration of Victorino's life will take place with a viewing Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Rosary at Salinas Funeral Home Elsa - Chapel of The Angels. A 1:00 PM Mass will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, where friends and family will gather to honor his loving spirit. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco. We invite all who knew and loved Victorino to join us as we reflect on his remarkable life, share memories, and support one another through our grief.
Victorino Villalpando Jr. will be lovingly remembered as a dedicated father, a supportive son, and an extraordinary individual whose spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him. May he rest in peace.
