WESLACO - Con profundo dolor, la familia de Santitos Rodríguez anuncia su fallecimiento el día 9 de septiembre de 2025, en la tranquilidad de su hogar, rodeada del amor de sus seres queridos.

Nació el 28 de julio de 1939, siendo la hija menor de Paulino Valdez y Beatriz Quintanilla, y la más joven de nueve hermanos. Santitos fue una mujer fuerte, sencilla y profundamente respetada por quienes la conocieron. Siempre fue organizada, previsora y responsable; sabía cómo hacer rendir el dinero, pero lo más valioso que compartió fue su inmenso amor. Su ejemplo de entrega y cuidado fue evidente en la manera en que cuidó de su madre hasta el último de sus días, enseñando con su ejemplo a sus hijas, quienes con orgullo siguieron sus pasos. Todos la querían: sus yernos, nietos, sobrinos y sobrinas encontraban en ella un corazón generoso y una presencia reconfortante. Disfrutaba de las cosas simples: mirar su programa favorito "Hoy", seguir sus novelas, y compartir una buena comida -especialmente el menudo que preparaba con cariño cada vez que su hija la visitaba, así como el cabrito y las quesadillas que tanto le gustaban. Tenía un talento especial para el bordar y los crucigramas, y una gran sensibilidad hacia los animales, en especial los perros. Se sintió muy bendecida de tener a su querido perrito "Coco", un regalo de su hija que le brindó alegría y compañía en sus últimos años.

El legado de Santitos vivirá en cada recuerdo, en cada enseñanza y en el amor que sembró en su familia. Su partida deja un vacío inmenso, pero también una vida que merece ser celebrada con gratitud y honor.

Le sobrevive con profundo dolor sus cinco hijos/a; Nereyda (David), Nora (+Steven), Yolanda, San Juanita (Romualdo), Alfonso Humberto (Claudia); 10 nietos; 12 bisnietos; muchos mas familiares y amigos.

La recibe en el cielo su amado esposo, Alfonso Humberto Rodriguez Gonzalez; nueve hermanos.

Una velacion se llevara acabo en Salinas Funeral Home en Weslaco el viernes, 12 de septiembre de 2025, de 4pm a 9pm con un rosario a las 7pm. Servicio Catolico sera en Salinas Funeral Home en Weslaco el sabado, 13 de septiembre de 2025, a la 1pm con un entierro a las 2pm en Val Verde Memorial Gardens.

Los arreglos funerarios han sido encomendados a la Funeraria Salinas de Weslaco.

WESLACO - With deep sorrow, the family of Santitos Rodríguez announces her passing on September 9, 2025, peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born on July 28, 1939, the youngest daughter of Paulino Valdez and Beatriz Quintanilla, and the youngest of nine siblings. Santitos was a strong, humble woman, deeply respected by all who knew her. She was always organized, thoughtful, and responsible; she knew how to make a dollar stretch, but above all, she shared an immense and unwavering love. Her devotion and care were most evident in how she lovingly cared for her mother until her final day - setting an example that her daughters proudly followed.

Everyone loved her: sons-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews all found in her a generous heart and a comforting presence. She enjoyed the simple things in life: watching her favorite show "Hoy", following her novelas, and sharing a good meal - especially menudo, which she lovingly prepared each time her daughter visited, as well as cabrito and quesadillas, which she truly enjoyed.

She had a special talent for crocheting and crossword puzzles, and a deep love for animals, especially dogs. She felt incredibly blessed to have her beloved dog, "Coco," a gift from her daughter that brought her joy and companionship in her final years.

Santitos' legacy lives on in every memory, every lesson, and in the love she sowed within her family. Her passing leaves a deep void, but also a life that deserves to be honored and remembered with gratitude.

She is survived with heavy hearts by her five children: Nereyda (David), Nora (+Steven), Yolanda, San Juanita (Romualdo), Alfonso Humberto (Claudia); 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many more relatives and friends.

She is welcomed into Heaven by her beloved husband, Alfonso Humberto Rodríguez González, and her nine siblings.

A visitation will be held at Salinas Funeral Home in Weslaco on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a rosary at 7:00 PM. A Catholic service will take place at Salinas Funeral Home in Weslaco on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM, followed by burial at Val Verde Memorial Gardens at 2:00 PM.
