Mercedes- Rudy Olivarez, 66, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Harlingen Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas.

He was born on March 29, 1956 to Mr. Asencion Olivarez and Mrs. Ramona H. Olivarez in Mercedes, Texas.

Mr. Olivarez is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Asencion Olivarez and Mrs. Ramona H. Olivarez and his brother, Arnold Olivarez.

Left to cherish his memories is his Loving Wife, Maria Alicia Olivarez; his sons, Luis Antonio (Nuvia Alvarado) Olivarez, Rudy Olivarez Jr.; his daughters, Blanca Alicia (Antonio) Atoche, Elizabeth Marie (Armando Castaneda) Olivarez, Laura Ashley (Alan) Salazar; his brother, Robert Olivarez; his sisters, Irma O. Gomez, Nelda O. Suarez, Frances Olivarez, Bertha O. McBride and 18 grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Rudy Olivarez is scheduled for Monday, October 17, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 6:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens in Weslaco. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 10:00 am at Christian Calvary Center in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
