Rosa Rodriguez, a woman whose loving spirit and radiant smile touched the hearts of all who knew her, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026, in San Juan, Texas. Born on August 8, 1947, in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Rosa's life was a beautiful testament to kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family.
From the very beginning, Rosa illuminated every room she entered with her beautiful smile, a smile that reflected the deep well of love and friendliness she carried within her. She was a great wife, a nurturing mother, a cherished daughter, a devoted sister, and a grandmother whose affection embraced twelve beloved grandchildren. Her presence was a blessing, a gentle light that brought comfort and joy to those fortunate enough to cross her path.
Rosa leaves behind her devoted husband of 55 years, Ramiro Rodriguez, whose partnership in love was a cornerstone of her life. Together, they shared decades filled with memories, challenges, celebrations, and an unbreakable bond. Their love story is etched in the hearts of their children-Ramiro Rodriguez Jr., Jose Miguel Rodriguez and his wife Fabiola, Armando Rodriguez, and Sylvia Rodriguez-who carry forward the values and legacy she instilled in them. Her twelve grandchildren were the pride and joy of her later years, each a reflection of Rosa's enduring love and warmth.
Though we mourn the passing of Rosa, her memory is forever intertwined with those who came before her: her father, Florencio Fuentes; her mother, Josefina Garza; and her siblings, Fidencio Fuentes, Gilberto Fuentes, and Guadalupe Salazar. Though now reunited with them in eternal peace, the loss of Rosa leaves a profound ache in the hearts of her surviving family and friends.
The community is invited to honor and celebrate Rosa's life at the Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of Grace located at 2929 W. Expressway 83, Weslaco, TX 78599. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will follow on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of Grace with interment to follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Donna, TX at 3:00 PM.
Rosa Rodriguez will be remembered not just for who she was, but for the way she made others feel-loved, cared for, and truly seen. Her legacy is one of grace, kindness, and a beautiful smile that will forever light up the memories and hearts of her family, friends, and everyone privileged to know her. She leaves behind a world touched by her love, and though she is gone from this life, her spirit remains a comforting presence, ever bright and deeply felt.
