Rosa P. Cavazos

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rosa P. Cavazos, who left this world on August 15, 2026. Born on October 17, 1935, Rosa lived a life rich with love, compassion, and vibrant connections, making her mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her in the community of Elsa, Texas.

Rosa was a beloved mother to her children-Richard Cavazos, Sylvia Garza, Yvonne Cavazos, and Gina Gonzalez-and a cherished sister to her siblings, Juab Patino, Victoria Patino Jr., Noelia Gomez, and Lina Patino. She was a source of strength and inspiration, leaving an indelible impact on the lives of her family and friends. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.

We invite family and friends to join us in honoring her life and legacy. A public viewing will take place at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels on August 19, 2026, beginning at 3:00 PM. A Rosary will follow that evening at 7:00 PM, allowing all who loved her to come together in prayer and remembrance. On August 20, 2026, a funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM in the same chapel, celebrating Rosa's remarkable journey and the love she shared with so many. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park at 3:00 PM.

As we gather to reflect on Rosa's remarkable life, we will celebrate the joy she brought to our lives, her unwavering love, and the countless memories we hold dear. Though she may be gone from our sights, her spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
