Rolando Guzman, Jr.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rolando Guzman Jr., a bright spirit who touched the lives of many during his short time with us. Born on December 16, 2005, in Weslaco, Texas, Rolando brought joy, laughter, and warmth to his family and friends. He departed this world on August 15, 2025, leaving an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Rolando was a kind and compassionate young man, admired by his peers for his gentle demeanor and unwavering support for those around him. He embraced the world with enthusiasm and optimism, dreaming of a future filled with promise and adventure. His zest for life was infectious, reminding everyone to cherish each moment.

He is survived by his beloved mother, Guadalupe Melgoza, and stepfather, Joel Muñoz, Jr., who provided him with love and guidance throughout his life. Rolando is also survived by three sisters, Alexandria Guzman, Genesis Guzman, Saleen Marie Guzman; his maternal grandmother, Lucrecia Melgoza; paternal grandparents, Joel & Yolanda Muñoz; five uncles, Vicente Melgoza, Rafael Melgoza, Jr., Juan Fernando Melgoza, Jose Melgoza, Pedro Melgoza; six aunts, Lucero Melgoza, Rocio Melgoza, Maria Melgoza, Elizabeth Muñoz, Daisy Muñoz, Crystal Muñoz & numerous cousins.

Family and friends are invited to join in honoring Rolando's life and legacy. A public viewing will take place at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of the Heavens on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service. A 10:00 AM Funeral Service will follow on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of The Heavens. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park where we will bid him a final farewell and celebrate the beautiful life he lived.

In this time of grief, let us remember Rolando for the love he shared, the smiles he sparked, and the bright light he remains in our hearts. His memory will continue to inspire us to live our lives to the fullest and cherish the connections we hold dear.
