Rogelio Gomez

March 6, 1942 — February 1, 2026

Elsa-Rogelio R. Gomez, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, in the warmth of a life filled with love and dedication. Born on March 6, 1942, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Rogelio grew to be a remarkable individual with a strong work ethic and an unwavering commitment to his family.

As an Airforce veteran, he served his country proudly before embarking on a successful career as an oil field technician for over 40 years. Known as a jack of all trades, Rogelio was a true handyman who reveled in the joy of fixing anything that came his way. Throughout his life, he exemplified what it meant to be a provider, always thinking selflessly about the needs of those around him.

Rogelio was not only a hard worker; he was also the beacon of strength in his family, the best father anyone could ask for. His love for his wife, Juanita Gomez, knowing no bounds, they celebrated a beautiful marriage spanning 48 extraordinary years. Together, they created a loving home filled with laughter and learning, where their children thrived under his guidance and care.

He had an affinity for the written word, often losing himself in books, soaking in knowledge and adventure as he turned each page. His evenings were frequently spent watching the Discovery Channel, reflecting his unending curiosity about the world and its wonders.

Rogelio is survived by his beloved wife, Juanita, their cherished children, and adored grandchildren, all of whom carry forward the love, values, and lessons he imparted. He is also remembered fondly by his brothers, who appreciated his supportive spirit and steadfast nature.

Preceding him in death was his father, Jose Luis Gomez, who undoubtedly paved the way for Rogelio's strength and resilience. As Rogelio joins his beloved father in the eternal embrace, his legacy lives on through the memories he created, the lives he touched, and the love he shared.
