Rogelio Cisneros

Dec 6, 1942 — Jul 11, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rogelio Cisneros, a beloved father, brother, and friend, who departed this world peacefully of natural causes on July 11, 2026, at the age of 83. Rogelio was born on December 6, 1942, and he called Brownsville, Texas, his home for most of his life.

Rogelio dedicated his years to hard work in agriculture, showcasing a resilience and commitment that his family admired. He had a simple yet rich life filled with joy and warmth, much of it spent indulging in his two passions: fishing and playing poker. Whether he was casting a line or gathered around the table with friends and family, he was happiest when sharing laughter and stories with those he loved.

Rogelio is survived by his children, Mayra Cisneros, Juan Mora, Pedro Cisneros, Paulo Cisneros, Sonia Martinez, and Yadira Perea, who will carry forward his spirit and the values he instilled in them. He will also be deeply missed by his brothers, Francisco, Norberto, Silverio, Ovidio, and Martin Cisneros, as well as his sisters, Maria Saldana, Hilda Doniaz, Blanca Lopez, Delia Cisneros, and Olga Cisneros, who cherished their time spent together.

We invite his family, friends, and the community to celebrate Rogelio's life and legacy. Public viewing will be held on July 14, 2026, 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville, where we will honor his memory with tales that capture his vibrant spirit. A prayer service will take place on July 14, 2026, at 7:00 PM, also at Salinas Funeral Home.

Rogelio will be laid to rest at Rose Lawn Burial Park on July 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM, where we will say our goodbyes to a man whose heart was as big as his love for fishing and the laughter shared over a deck of cards.

May he rest in peace, knowing he touched the lives of many with his kindness and joy.

Rogelio was preceded in death by: Maria Cisneros, Pedro Cisneros, Eugenia Cisneros, Emiliano Cisneros.
