Robert Leon Thomas, Jr.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Leon Thomas Jr., who departed this world peacefully on December 2, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on April 29, 1944, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Robert lived a life dedicated to education and nurturing young minds.

Robert is survived by his beloved son, Jason Thomas, who cherishes the memories of their time together and the invaluable lessons imparted by his father. Also surviving are his daughter in law, Vanessa Thomas; two grandchildren, Jaxson Thomas and Victoria Thomas. He was known for his warmth, kindness, and a sense of humor that could light up any room. Robert's passion for learning and commitment to his students will be a lasting legacy that continues to inspire those he touched.

A Graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Sacred Park Cemetery in Mercedes, TX.

We invite all who knew and loved Robert to join us in celebrating his life, reflecting on the joy he brought to our lives, and the lessons we will carry forward in his memory. Robert Leon Thomas Jr. will be dearly missed but will forever remain in our hearts.
