It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Richard M. Foster, who left this world on August 6, 2026, in Edcouch, Texas. Richard was a loving husband, father, and friend, known for his kindness, humor, and unwavering support for those he loved.

Richard is survived by his cherished wife, Arlee L. Fitzlaff, and his three beloved sons, Robert, Steven, and Dale Foster. He is also survived by his devoted daughter, Patricia Davis. He is also survived by his many half siblings, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous family and friends. Together, they will carry his spirit and the many cherished memories that he has left behind.

Throughout his life, Richard embraced every moment with a warmth that touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He fostered an environment of love and laughter within his family, setting an example of compassion and strength that will forever be remembered.

A Prayer Service will be held in honor of Richard at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens on August 11, 2026, at 7:00 PM. Prior to this, family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the Public Viewing, which will take place at the same location from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Richard will be laid to rest, returning to the earth he loved, where he can continue to watch over his family and friends. In this time of sorrow, let us also celebrate the remarkable life he lived and the immeasurable impact he had on all our lives. He will be dearly missed, but his legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
