Raul Perez

Weslaco- Raul Perez, a beloved son, brother, and friend, graces this world with his presence from January 9, 1964, until January 18, 2026. Born in the heart of Mercedes, Texas, Raul's journey began surrounded by the vibrant landscapes and warm community that would shape his spirit. From an early age, he found solace in the simple yet profound moments spent with his mother at the adoration chapel, where he learned the value of peace and reflection.

Raul was known for his serious demeanor, yet those fortunate enough to know him recognized a delightful sense of humor that danced beneath the surface. His love for puns and light-hearted jokes brought laughter to many, reminding all of the joy found in life's little absurdities. He was a man of music, and his home was often filled with the sweet sounds of melodies played on his harmonica and guitar. A true family man, Raul cherished his loved ones, embodying the motto "no questions, no lies" with a remarkable sincerity that endeared him to all.

Life was a rich tapestry for Raul, woven with the threads of familial bonds and personal passions. Whether he was skateboarding in his youth or savoring glazed donuts and Whataburger, every moment was infused with the essence of his character. Though he enjoyed his Marlboro cigarettes, it was the love of family that ultimately defined him, crafting a legacy of connection and warmth.

Raul leaves behind a cherished family who will carry his spirit forward: his sisters, Esperanza Garza, Rosalinda Perez, Janie Sanchez, Diana Aguilera, and Irene Ruiz. He is reunited in spirit with those who have passed before him-his brothers, Clemente Perez Jr. and Armado Perez, along with his sister, Estanislada "Tana" Sanchez and his parents, Mr  Clemente Perez and Mrs  Tomasa Perez.

The world will be forever altered by Raul's absence, yet his memory will endure. Friends and family will gather to honor his life at the Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of the Heavens, where a viewing will take place on January 27, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by the Rosary at 7:00 PM. The funeral service will commence at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Weslaco on January 28, 2026, at 10:00 AM, leading to his interment at Highland Memorial Park at 11:00 AM.

In the hearts of those who knew him, Raul's legacy will remain-a testament to the love he shared, the music he played, and the laughter he inspired. His journey may have ended, but the echoes of his life will continue to resonate in the memories forged through shared laughter and love.
