Ramon Ruiz

With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Ramon Ruiz, who entered eternal rest on October 23, 2026, in Weslaco, Texas, at the age of 71. Though his time on earth has come to an end, the love he shared and the memories he leaves behind will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Ramon was born on July 19, 1955, in San Juan, Texas, to Rodolfo Ruiz and Guadalupe Gongora. Throughout his life, he became part of a family whose bonds and shared memories will continue to be treasured for generations to come. His passing leaves a deep void in the lives of his loved ones, but the love they shared will remain a lasting source of comfort and strength.

Ramon is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Rodolfo and Guadalupe Ruiz; his brothers, Ramiro Ruiz, Sr. and Raul Ruiz; and his sister, Marta Ferguson. Though they have gone before him, may the thought of their reunion bring comfort to those who mourn his loss.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving children: his son, Ramon Ruiz, Jr.; and his daughters, Guadalupe Marie Ruiz and Ana Lucinda Ruiz. He is also survived by his four brothers, Rodolfo Ruiz, Jr., Robert Ruiz, Ruben Ruiz, and Ricardo Ruiz; and his four sisters, Rosalinda Ruiz, Maria Juanita Gonzalez, Yolanda Nieto, and Gloria Esquivel.

Ramon's legacy of love continues through his four grandchildren, Olivia A. Hernandez, Marcos Hernandez, Jr., Robert A. Hernandez, and Victor R. Huerta; and his great-grandson, Mateo R. Nava, who represent the generations that will continue to carry his memory forward. His family will forever hold close the moments they shared, the memories they created, and the love that will always connect them.

Although saying goodbye is never easy, the memories of a loved one remain long after their final farewell. Ramon will be remembered with love, missed beyond words, and carried in the hearts of his family forever. May those who mourn his passing find peace in the memories they hold dear, strength in one another, and comfort in knowing that a life lived and loved is never truly forgotten.

Visitation for Ramon Ruiz will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa - Chapel of The Angels.

A Holy Mass will follow at 2:00 PM at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church in Weslaco, Texas.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Ramon Ruiz will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral services are under the direction of Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.

May he rest in eternal peace, and may perpetual light shine upon him. Though he is no longer by our side, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who love him.
