Brownsville - Pedro Gonzales Acevedo, 84, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Fox Hollow Post Acute Nursing Facility.

Mr. Acevedo was born December 4, 1938 in Mexico, son of Rafael Acevedo and Trinidad Gonzales Acevedo. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Benita Guzman Acevedo; his children, Marvelia Acevedo, Veronica Pisharodi, Raquel Davila, Ana Maria Acevedo, Araceli Acevedo Bermudez, Melba Acevedo, Rafael Acevedo, Rolando Acevedo, Arturo Torres and Sandra Cedano. Also surviving him are 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. Funeral chapel service is scheduled for Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Rose Lawn Burial Park.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
