Olga G. Loredo

With a sorrowful heart we announce the passing of our beloved mother, wife and cherished friend, Olga G. Loredo in the early hours of July 21, 2026, at her residence in Edcouch Texas. She entered her eternal resting place peacefully in her sleep after a prolonged fight with her health. Born on May 15, 1960 in Pearsall, Texas, Olga was one of fourteen loved by the late Ascension and Anastacia Luna Gutierrez.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Benito Gutierrez, Alberto Gutierrez, Roberto Gutierrez; five sisters, Guadalupe Gutierrez, Victoria Camacho, Gloria Gutierrez, Felipa De La Fuente and Margarita Gutierrez.

Olga filled the space she was in with a calm and quiet air that made her approachable to all, which led her to meeting Juan Loredo Jr., her husband and the love of her life. She caught his heart, to entwine them in each other's life from then on. An ever devoted mother, she raised three children with care and bountiful love and God knows, with endless patience and a home for them to return to, filled with laughter and joy.

She set the foundation for the later interactions with her adored grandchildren. Out of every accomplishment, being a grandmother was one she cherished most, with how much she smiled when her boys were mentioned, always breaking in praise and laughter at their recent antics.

She is survived by her husband, Juan Loredo, Jr.; her son, Juan Loredo, III; two daughters, Amy Lynn Sabedra (Oliver) and Casandra Lynnette Smith (Zachary Alexander); two brothers, Domingo Gutierrez, Ascension Gutierrez, Jr.; three sisters, Anastacia Torres, Alicia Perez and Herlinda Esquivel. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Oliver Alexander Sabedra, Owen Christian Sabedra, Wyatt Davis Smith and Theodore Nicolas Smith.

She was always available to lend an ear to her family and friends and went above and beyond for her children and grandchildren to be present at every event at the drop of a hat. Her unconditional love was the foundation of her family and her perseverance, in both body and spirit, will be remembered in our hearts.

She leaves behind a lasting impression with family and friends, a legacy that will bloom in continuation to all the lives she's touched. Though our hearts may be heavy from her passing and the empty space she has left vacant is a reminder of a beautiful soul now gone, we are forever grateful for the time and memories we shared with her.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa - Chapel of The Angels with a 7:00 PM Rosary. A 10:00 AM Funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in La Villa, TX. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco, TX.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.
