Marisela Duran

It is with both sorrow and celebration of life that we announce the passing of Marisela Duran, who departed this world peacefully on November 25, 2025, at the age of 57. Born in San Juan, Texas to her parents, Pablo Gonzalez & Juanita Barron, her commitment to the wellbeing of those around her exemplified her warm spirit and loving heart.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Americo Duran.

Marisela Duran is survived by three sons, Alejandro Duran, Jr., Adam Michael Duran, Angus Lee Duran; one daughter, April Marie Duran; three brothers, Pablo Gonzalez, David Sustaita and Julian Sustaita. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren. The bond she had with her loved ones was unbreakable, filled with love, laughter, and countless memories that will forever live on in the stories they shared.

Marisela will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her kind heart, and her ability to light up any room she entered. As we reflect on her life, we celebrate the moments we shared-each conversation, each laugh, each gesture of kindness that she so generously extended to others.

As per her wishes, Maricela will be cremated.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
