With profound sadness and heartfelt love, we announce the passing of Mario Alberto Garcia, who entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at University of Health in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 60.

Born on September 24, 1965, in Brownsville, Texas, Mario was the beloved son of Rito Garcia and Elvia Mendoza Garcia. Throughout his life, he was known for his gentle spirit, warm heart, and unwavering devotion to his family. His greatest joy was the time he spent with those he loved, and he leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

Mario was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Elvia Mendoza Garcia, whose memory he carried with him throughout his life.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving and devoted wife, Graciela Garza Garcia; his beloved daughter, Gracie Garcia; his father, Rito Garcia; and his treasured grandchildren, Elise Estrella and Sebastian Estrella. He is also survived by numerous extended family members, lifelong friends, and all whose lives were touched by his compassion, generosity, and genuine friendship.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home Brownsville - Chapel of The Angels, with a Prayer Service beginning at 6:00 PM.

In honoring Mario's final wishes, cremation will take place at a later date.

Though his physical presence is no longer with us, Mario's love, wisdom, and gentle spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
