Los Fresnos- Marina A. Cortez, 77, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Solara Hospital in Brownsville.
Mrs. Cortez was born on February 17, 1942 in Mexico to Mr. Jose Aguillon & Mrs. Nieves Salazar.
Mrs. Marina is preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Prudencio Aguillon, Valente Aguillon and her sister Martina Garza.
Left to cherish her memories is her husband Julio Cesar Cortez; her sons: Julio Cesar Cortez, Jr. ( Ofelia Hernandez), Mario Antonio Cortez, Jorge Alberto Cortez ( Melissa De Leon); daughters: Nancy Marina Arriaga (Juan Antonio), Julisa Martinez (Benjamin); brothers: Vicente Aguillon, Celso Aguillon and her sister Facunda Gonzalez.
Visitation for Mrs. Marina A. Cortez is scheduled for Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville. Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, October 11, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Brownsville.
