Brownsville - Maria E. Salazar, 58, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Valley Baptist Medical Center.

Mrs. Salazar was born February 8, 1965 in Brownsville, Texas daughter of Eliseo Lopez and Elvia Rodriguez. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Graviel Lopez.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband Pedro Salazar; her son, Pedro Salazar Jr; daughter, Monica Lee Soto (David); brother, Eliseo Lopez; sisters, Herlinda Zamora and Juanita Silva. Also surviving her is her granddaughter, Rylee Sky Soto.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville. Funeral chapel service is scheduled for Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at 11:00 am at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
