Brownsville - Maria Gabriela Vela, 61, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2021 at Valley Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Vela was born July 28, 1960 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, daughter of Jose R. Valdez and Victoria Mosqueda. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Hope Valdez.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Ismael Vela Perez; children, Victoria Vela, Ismael Vela Jr, Kimberly Vela; brothers, Gustavo Valdez, Jose Sergio Valdez, Renato Valdez, Roberto Valdez; sisters, Sandra Camacho and San Juana Estrada. Also surviving her are 4 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021 from 3 pm to 8 pm with a rosary at 6 pm at Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville. As per her wishes, she will be cremated at a later date.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Brownsville.
