Lubbock, Texas

Lubbock- With profound sorrow and unwavering faith in God, the family of María Sara Prieto Torres announces her peaceful passing on August 4, 2026, at the age of 84.

María Sara was born on July 12, 1942, in Molina Enríquez, where she began a life defined by hard work, strength, faith, and an immeasurable love for her family. She was a devoted woman with a kind heart and a generous spirit, always finding a way to offer support, comfort, and love to everyone around her. Her home was a place of unity, where her children, grandchildren, and loved ones always found unconditional love.

She is survived by her life companion, Arcadio Olvera; her sons, Juan Guajardo and Jesús Olvera; her daughters, María Infante, Isidra Peña, Elena García, Celia Tovar, Ana Olvera, and Elizabeth Olvera; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends who will forever cherish the memory of her love, her wisdom, and the example she set throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Antonio Guajardo and Narciso; her brother, Flavio Torres; and her mother, Gumersinda Torres, who now welcome her with open arms into eternal peace.

Although her passing leaves an immense void in our hearts, her legacy of love, sacrifice, faith, and devotion will live on in each of her descendants and in all those who were blessed to know her.

The family sincerely appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support they have received during this difficult time. They ask that María Sara be remembered with love, gratitude, and joy for the beautiful life she shared with everyone.
