Maria Ofelia Castillo

La Villa- Maria Ofelia Castillo, 86, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.

Mrs. Castillo was born on September 10, 1936 to Mr. Gregorio Medina and Mrs. Maria Amada Castillo Medina in Mexico.

Mrs. Castillo is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Gregorio Medina and Mrs. Maria Amada Castillo Medina; her husband, Bernardo Castillo; her brothers, Aurelio Medina, Francisco Medina, Gregorio Medina Jr; her sister, Consuelo Ortiz.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Bernando (Velma) Castillo Jr., Jose Jaime (Eugenia) Castillo; Javier (Alicia) Castillo; her daughters, San Juanita (Francisco) Suarez, Maria Amada Castillo, Martina (Scott) Fuller, Maria Tomasa (David) Castillo, Teresa Castillo, Francisca Rodriguez; her brothers, Lauro Medina, Juan Medina; her sisters, Paulina Castillo, Maria De La Luz Cavazos, Socorro Hinojosa, Ramona Alcantar; 31 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

The Castillo family will be receiving family and friends on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of Grace in Weslaco.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.
