Maria Elena Martinez Mendoza

Brownsville - Maria Elena Martinez Mendoza, 59, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Solara Hospital.

Ms. Mendoza was born June 12, 1962, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, daughter of Sabino Martinez and Maria Cristina Mendoza. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Maria de Jesus Rodriguez.

Left to cherish her memories are her son: David Martinez; brother: Faustino Rivera; sisters: Margarita Rivera and Maria Mendoza.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. Funeral mass is scheduled for Friday, May 20, 2022, at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Guillen Community Cemetery.
