Edcouch- Maria Isabel Garcia, 68, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at Mid Valley Nursing and Rehab Center in Mercedes, Texas.

Mrs. Garcia was born on June 27, 1957 to Luis Martinez and Cirilda Gonzalez Martinez in Edcouch, Texas.

Mrs. Garcia is preceded in death by her parents, Luis Martinez and Cirilda Gonzalez Martinez; her husband, Leandro Garcia; her brother, Gerardo Martinez and her sisters, Martha Escalante and Maria Luisa Martinez.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Jose Luis (Mary Ann) Garcia, Jose Guadalupe Garcia, Oscar Garcia; her daughter, Juliana Krystal Garcia; her brother, Luis Martinez; her sisters, Donaciana Martinez, Irene Reyes, Yolanda Cortez, Cynthia Martinez, Sylvia Ann Zuniga, Juanita Laurie Zamora, Maria Martinez; 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mrs. Maria Isabel Garcia is scheduled for Wednesday, July 16, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 6:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens in Elsa. As per her wishes, Mrs. Garcia will be cremated at a later date at Val Verde Memorial Crematory in Donna.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.
