La Feria

La Feria- With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for the life she shared with us, we announce the passing of Maria Hernandez de Loya, who left this world on August 14, 2026, in La Feria, Texas. She was born on October 26, 1955, in Mexico, and in her seventy years, she authored a legacy of love, devotion, and unwavering kindness.

Maria's life was a tapestry woven from countless acts of warmth and giving. She was, above all, a family person. Her love was the glue that held generations together. Whether gathered around her kitchen table or uniting at family milestones, her nurturing presence turned ordinary moments into cherished memories. Those closest to her will remember her as loving and kind traits that defined her every interaction and touched all who knew her.

Maria's steadfast faith guided her throughout life. She was known for being god fearing, and her gentle piety radiated in her respect for others and her capacity to forgive and uplift. Her faithfulness was both a guiding compass for herself and a beacon for her family.

Her husband, Benjamin Loya, and her children, Leticia (Jose) Lopez, Benjamin (Veronica Quiroga) Loya Jr., and Elvira (Enfile Barrera) Loya, continue to feel the profound impact of her nurturing spirit. She is fondly remembered by her brothers, Francisco Hernandez and Alfonso Hernandez, alongside grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose lives have been enriched by her boundless affection.

Maria's story is also a testament to the enduring bonds of family. As she joins her departed siblings Gilberto, Aureliano, Benito, Olivia, Guadalupe, Maria, and Bertha and her beloved parents, Aurelio Hernandez and Felipa Anaya Hernandez, her legacy grows in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
