Weslaco, Texas - Maria Elena Hernandez, 70, passed away to be with the Lord on April 7, 2024 at her residence.

Mrs. Hernandez was born on January 14, 1954 in Tamaulipas Mexico to Mr. Alfredo Hernandez & Mrs. Antonia Castillo.

She is preceded in death by her parents & husband, Norberto Ramirez.

Maria Elena Hernandez is survived by her son, Guadalupe Hernandez (Silvia); one daughter, San Juanita Ramirez; three brothers, Alfredo Hernandez, Martin Hernandez, Fidencio Hernandez; three daughters, Maria Teresa Hernandez, Silvia Hernandez, Elvira Hernandez. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Maria Elena Hernandez is scheduled for Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of Grace. Creamation will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens.
