Brownsville — Maria Gloria Castro, 98, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020, at her residence in Brownsville, Texas.
Mrs. Castro was born, September 22, 1922, in Gruillas, Tamaulipas, Mexico, daughter of Juan Mora Maldonado and Rita Galindo Torres. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Maricela Castro.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Martin Castro (Maria de la Luz), Miroslava Castro; sister, Virginia Mora de Sotres. Also surviving her are 7 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 15, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. Rosary at Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. Interment will be on Friday, October 16, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at San Jose Burial Park in San Antonio.
