Maria G. Becerra

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Maria G. Becerra, who departed this earthly life on October 10, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on February 24, 1929, in China Nuevo Leon Mexico, Maria blossomed into a devoted mother, sister, and grandmother. Her life was a remarkable tapestry woven with love, resilience, and the spirit of family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Macario Garcia & Fermina Lopez; her husband, Israel Becerra; six brothers, Candelario Garcia, Rafael Garcia, Armando Garcia, Senovio Garcia, Fernando Garcia, Efrain Garcia & two sisters, Lile Elizondo & Rosa Maria Villarreal.

Maria is survived by one son, Ruben Becerra (Martha); three daughters, Blanca Estella Haralson, Dora S. Luna (Socorro), Yolanda A. Cantu (Juan); two sisters, Cristina Garcia & Juanita Vega. Also surviving are nine grandchildren & nine great-great grandchildren.

She will be lovingly remembered by all her family who bring to mind the warmth and strength Maria shared with all those who had the privilege to know her. Maria embraced everyone with grace and instilled in her family the values of tradition, love, and community.

The legacy of compassion and kindness she leaves behind will forever be etched in the hearts of all who knew her. Her laughter, stories, and unwavering support will be dearly missed yet remembered with fondness and reverence.

Family and friends are invited to honor Maria's remarkable life during the funeral services. A public viewing will be held at Salinas Funeral Home Elsa - Chapel of the Angels on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Rosary. A 10:00 AM Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini in Hargill, Texas. Maria will then be laid to rest at Valle de la Paz Cemetery in Hargill, Texas, at 11:00 AM, where family and friends may pay their final respects.

May Maria G. Becerra rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love she so generously shared throughout her lifetime.
