Brownsville- Marco Antonio Benavides, 74, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Solara Hospital in Brownsville, Texas.

Mr. Benavides was born on April 21, 1951 to Mr. Antonio Manuel Benavides and Mrs. Ofelia Perales in Brownsville, Texas.

Mr. Benavides is preceded in death by his parents; Mr. Antonio Manuel Benavides and Mrs. Ofelia Perales; his step son, Federico Atkinson; his brother, Mario Benavides and his sister, Sylvia Rios.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Yolanda B. Benavides; his son, Marco Benavides, Arnold Atkinson Jr.; his step son, Arnold Atkinson; his step-daughter, Betty Atkinson; his brother, Manuel Benavides; his sisters, Norma Benavides, Araceli Benavides, Maricela Guzman; one granddaughter and three grandchildren, Roland Esquivel, Arnold Joe Esquivel, Nicole Lucio.

Visitation for Mr. Marco Antonio Benavides is scheduled for Friday, August 1, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville. As per his wishes, he will be cremated at Val Verde Memorial Crematory in Donna.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Brownsville.
