Luz Ayne Villarreal

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Luz Ayne Villarreal, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Luz was born on June 15, 1966, and entered eternal rest on May 27, 2026, in her hometown of Brownsville, Texas.

Luz will be forever remembered for her unwavering love and dedication to her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Rolando Villarreal, and her cherished daughters, Audrey Villarreal, Dana Ayne Villarreal, and Alba Sarahi Villarreal. Her spirit will also live on in her father, Gaspar Vela, and her mother, Juana Rodriguez. Luz was the devoted sister to Raymundo Vela, Eugenio Vela, Eduardo Vela, Americo Vela, Ivan Vela, and Raquel Vasquez. Her family meant the world to her, and she poured her heart into nurturing and uplifting each of them.

Luz was not only a pillar of strength for her family but also a source of warmth and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her infectious laughter and generous spirit touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed.

The public is invited to honor Luz's life and legacy during the following services: a viewing will take place on June 1, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel of the Angels, Brownsville.

A Chapel Service in honor of Luz will occur on June 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM, also at Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel of the Angels. Luz's final resting place will be at Guillen Community Cemetery, where her interment will take place at 11:00 AM.

In this time of grief, we invite all who knew and loved Luz to celebrate her life and the beautiful memories she created. She will remain in our hearts forever, cherished by her family and friends.
