Larissa Nicole Rodriguez

December 7, 2007 — October 20, 2025

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of Larissa Nicole Rodriguez, a vibrant soul who graced our lives from December 7, 2007, until her departure from this world on October 20, 2025, in Weslaco, Texas. Born in Denton, Texas, Larissa was the beloved daughter of Roberto Rodriguez Jr. and Jennifer Alicia Rodriguez and cherished sister to Robert Alejandro Rodriguez.

Larissa's spirit shone brightly throughout her life, touching all those fortunate enough to know her. Renowned for her confidence and warmth, she embraced challenges with an unwavering determination from a tender age. She blossomed into a remarkable young woman, starting pageants early in her childhood, accompanied by her mother, which instilled in her a deep sense of self-assurance. Together, they shared countless moments that will forever resonate in the memories of those who witnessed Larissa's journey to becoming a strong, spirited individual.

Her impact as a member of the Weslaco community was profound; she held leadership positions such as Student Council President, was an esteemed member of the National Honor Society as Parlimentarian, and co-captained the Varsity Cheer Team. Larissa was a proud participant in the Latina in Progress Program and was recognized as a UCA All American Cheerleader and UCA Staff Candidate. A diligent student within the top 5% of her graduating class, her dreams were set high, with aspirations of attending the University of Texas at Austin to pursue a career in law.

Larissa's passion extended beyond academics; her laughter echoed through every cheer competition she attended and her dedication to community service was unparalleled. A decorated leader, she proudly earned accolades that included Miss Texas Onion Fest in Weslaco and Junior Miss Weslaco, alongside numerous service awards that highlighted her commitment to local charities. She was notably instrumental in initiatives such as Flip Flops to the World and Socktober, displaying her compassion and desire to uplift the less fortunate.

Her gentleness was matched by her vibrancy; friends frequently spoke of her kind and welcoming nature, her ability to light up any room with her radiant smile, and her innate gift for drawing people near. Whether she was cheering for her favorite musical artist, like Taylor Swift or Meagan Maroney, attending enlightening musicals, or enjoying movie nights with her father, Larissa infused each experience with joy and enthusiasm.
