Juan Guadalupe Cortez

Weslaco- Juan Guadalupe Cortez, 55, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco.

Mr. Cortez was born on January 14, 1968 to Mr. Guadalupe Mares Cortez and Maria Luisa Fraire in Brownsville, Texas.

Mr. Cortez is preceded in death by his father, Mr. Guadalupe Mares Cortez; his brothers, Miguel A. Cortez, Jacob Cortez.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Angela (Romeo Del Toro) Cortez, Janet (Leo De la Cruz Jr.) Cortez, Patty Cortez, Lilea Cortez; mother of his children, Lilea Morin; his brother, Ray Cortez; his sister, Holly Powell; his grandchildren, Jasmine Rivas, Noah Rivas, Mariah Del Toro.

Visitation for Mr. Juan Guadalupe Cortez is scheduled for Monday, February 20, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of Heavens in Weslaco. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 1:00 pm at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
