Juan Astello Vega

Brownsville - Juan Astello Vega, 93, passed away Friday, November 24, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Astello Vega was born March 8, 1930 in Tula, Tamaulipas, Mexico, son of Pablo Astello and Guadalupe Vega Astello.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Julia Garcia de Astello; a son Cecilio Astello; his daughter Rosalinda Astello; his parents and 7 brothers and 3 sisters.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Celestina Astello, Maria Del Rosario Astello, Maria Guadalupe Astello, Adelina Astello de Hinojosa, Benjamin Astello and Armando Astello. Also surviving him are 36 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm followed by a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. Funeral chapel service is scheduled for Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 10:00 with interment to follow at Rose Lawn Burial Park at 11:00 am.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
