Jose Daniel Soto

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jose Daniel Soto, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, who departed this life on August 5, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on January 11, 1959, Jose made his home in Brownsville, Texas, where he became a beloved figure in his community.

Jose's life was a testament to hard work and devotion. With a humble education, he built a fulfilling career in construction, where his keen hands and unwavering determination created projects that would stand the test of time. Above all, Jose treasured his family. His greatest joy was spending time with his beloved wife, Casey, and nurturing the bonds with his daughters, Priscilla (David) and Vanessa. Jose's affection and commitment to his family were evident in every gathering, enjoyed tending to his home and lawn, and always willing to offer a helping hand.

Jose is survived by his devoted wife, Casey Soto; daughters, Priscilla Soto (David) and Vanessa Soto; and his siblings: brothers Roberto, Margarito, and Saul Soto; sisters Enriqueta Soto, Rosa Garcia, Martha Hernandez, Maria Rivera, Dora Flores, and Mirta Hinojosa. His departure leaves a void that will be felt deeply by all who knew him.

A public viewing will take place August 7, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens. A Prayer Service will be held in Jose's honor at the Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville on August 7, 2026, at 6:30 PM, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life.
