It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jose David Delgado, a beloved husband, father, and friend, who left us on May 28, 2026, at the age of 51. Jose was born on December 5, 1974, and spent his life in the tight-knit community of Hargill, Texas, where he was known for his warm smile, compassionate spirit, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones.
Jose is survived by his cherished wife, Amy Lopez, whose love and support were a cornerstone of Jose's life. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with laughter, shared dreams, and countless memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew them.
Jose is survived by his dear children Adrian (Julissa Pesina) Garcia, Arom Rene Garcia, Arelie Renee (Orlando Alvarado) Garcia, Desstynie (Jonathn Tamez) Delgado. His siblings Juand Daniel Delgado Jr., Jesse Ray Delgado, Lee Edward Delgado. His grandchildren Osiah Joe Alvarado, Orlando Alvarado Jr., and Onnalei Jae Alvarado. Jose proceeded in death by his parents Juan Daniel Delgado and Juanita Garcia.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate Jose's life and legacy during a series of services at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels. A public viewing will be held on June 2, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, allowing those who loved him to pay their respects and share fond memories. A rosary will follow at 7:00 PM, providing a moment of reflection and prayer for all who knew him.
The funeral service will take place on June 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM, at Salinas Funeral Home Chapel of Angels in Elsa, Texas, honoring the remarkable life Jose led and the many lives he touched. Following the service, Jose will be interred at the Villa de la Paz Cemetery in Hargill, Texas at 11:00 AM, where he will rest peacefully among the Texas soil he loved.
As we remember Jose David Delgado, we celebrate the joyful moments, the lessons learned, and the love that he so generously shared. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
