Brownsville - Jose Lopez Barrera, 72, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Ebony Lake Nursing Home.
Mr. Lopez Barrera was born September 13, 1949 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, son of Jose Lope Molina and Felicitas Barrera Saldivar. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Aurora Lopez, Josefa Lopez and Sofia Lopez.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Noralva Garza; brother, Alfonso Lopez; sister, Juana Gonzalez. Also surviving him are 3 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021, from 1 pm to 4 pm with a rosary at 2 pm at Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville. As per his wishes, he will be cremated at a later date.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
