Jose Alaniz

Progreso, Texas - Jose Alberto Alaniz, 67, passed away to be with the Lord on May 27, 2025 peacefully at his residence.

Mr. Alaniz was born on May 14, 1958 in Nuevo Progreso, Mexico to Mr. Ruben Alaniz & Mrs. Margarita Iglesias Alaniz.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, his brother Jesus Ruben Alaniz and his sister Myriam Rodriguez.

Jose Alberto Alaniz is survived by his lovely wife Nelly Alaniz, his sons, Joey (Nelda) Alaniz and Ruben Alaniz, his daughters, Noelia (Josh) Garcia and Brenda (Rami) Hawari, his sisters; Consuelo Amaya, Deborah Naveja, Noemi Davila and Adrianna Vasquez. Also surviving him are 10 grandchildren, each of whom will hold his memory close to their hearts.

Visitation for Jose Alberto Alaniz is scheduled for Friday, May 30,2025 at 1:00 PM at Catedral Church (824 Calle Santiago Galvan, Progreso Lakes)with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday, May 31,2025 at Catedral Church (824 Calle Santiago Galvan, Progreso Lakes) followed by a Funeral Service at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Heavenly Grace in La Feria.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
