Jesus G. Vargas

Jesus G. Vargas, born on March 18, 1955, in Weslaco, Texas, passed away peacefully at his residence on June 8, 2026. A lifelong resident of Weslaco, Mr. Vargas was a devoted family man who cherished spending time with his loved ones.

Mr. Vargas is survived by his brothers, Josue R. Vargas, Juan Vargas, and Jaime Vargas, as well as his sister, Maricela E. Cantu. He was preceded in death by his parents, Josue B. Vargas and Dolores G. Vargas.

The family will honor Jesus G. Vargas with services to be held at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of Faith, located at 2929 W. Expressway 83, Weslaco, TX 78599. A viewing will take place on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service is scheduled for Friday, June 19, 2026, beginning at 1:00 p.m., also at the Chapel of Faith. Interment will follow at Weslaco City Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
