Weslaco - Jacobo González, un querido hijo, hermano, padre y amigo, partió de este mundo el 13 de febrero de 2026, a la temprana edad de 29 años, en su ciudad natal de Weslaco, Texas. Nacido el 30 de mayo de 1996, Jacobo personificó la bondad y la calidez, siempre dispuesto a compartir risas y crear recuerdos inolvidables con su familia.
Jacobo tenía una habilidad innata para hacer sentir cómodos a quienes lo rodeaban. Su actitud amable y acogedora acercaba a las personas y afrontaba la vida con un sentido del humor que llenaba las habitaciones de alegría. La familia siempre fue el centro de su vida, y nada le gustaba más que pasar tiempo con ellos. Ya fuera compartiendo una comida o simplemente disfrutando de la compañía mutua, esos momentos eran los más destacados de su vida.
Le sobreviven su querida familia, incluyendo a su devoto padre, Jaime González, y a su atenta madre, Sara Ruth González. Jacobo se enorgullecía enormemente de ser padre de su querida hija, Maya González, en cuyo brillante futuro creía con todo su corazón. También lo extrañarán profundamente su hermano Jaime González y su hermana, Jennifer (Pedro Vega) González, quienes ocuparon un lugar especial en su corazón. Su cariño se extendió de generación en generación, ya que Jacobo era nieto de María Tienda y María Sara Torres de Valdez, quienes lo recibieron con un apoyo y afecto incondicionales. Se celebrarán una serie de servicios fúnebres en honor a la memoria de Jacobo. El velatorio se llevará a cabo el 19 de febrero de 2026, de 16:00 a 21:00 h, en la Funeraria Salinas de Weslaco - Capilla de los Cielos. A continuación, habrá un servicio de oración a partir de las 18:00 h. El servicio fúnebre en su memoria se celebrará al día siguiente, 20 de febrero de 2026, a la 1:00 p. m., también en el mismo lugar. Posteriormente, familiares y amigos se reunirán para el entierro final en Highland Memorial Park a las 2:00 p. m.
Al recordar a Jacobo, perseveremos en su legado de bondad y buen humor, permitiendo que su espíritu nos guíe en nuestras relaciones e interacciones con los demás. Aunque ya no esté entre nosotros, el amor que compartió y la alegría que transmitió resonarán por siempre en nuestros corazones.

Weslaco- Jacobo Gonzalez, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, departed this world on February 13, 2026, at the young age of 29 in his hometown of Weslaco, Texas. Born on May 30, 1996, Jacobo embodied the spirit of kindness and warmth, always eager to share laughter and create cherished memories with his family.
Jacobo had an innate ability to make those around him feel at ease. His kind and welcoming demeanor drew people closer, and he approached life with a sense of humor that filled rooms with joy. Family was always at the center of his world, and he loved nothing more than spending time with them. Whether it was sharing a meal or simply enjoying each other's company, those moments were the highlights of his life.
He is survived by his loving family, including his devoted father Jaime Gonzalez and caring mother Sara Ruth Gonzalez. Jacobo took immense pride in being a father to his cherished daughter, Maya Gonzalez, whose bright future he believed in wholeheartedly. He will also be deeply missed by his brother Jaime Gonzalez and his sister, Jennifer (Pedro Vega) Gonzalez, both of whom held a special place in his heart. The warmth of love extended through generations, as Jacobo was the grandson of Maria Tienda and Maria Sara Torres de Valdez, who embraced him with unwavering support and affection. His niece, Kamila Vega, brought additional joy into his life, and he adored her innocence and spirit.
Jacobo was predeceased by two grandfathers, Manuel Gonzalez and Julio Alejandro Valdez, who have welcomed him with open arms in eternal rest. Their absence leaves a void that is felt deeply by all who knew Jacobo.
A series of heartfelt services will be held to honor Jacobo's memory. A viewing will take place on February 19, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of the Heavens. This will be followed by a prayer service starting at 6:00 PM. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held the next day, February 20, 2026, at 1:00 PM, also at the same location. Afterward, family and friends will gather for a final interment at Highland Memorial Park at 2:00 PM.
As we remember Jacobo, let us carry forward his legacy of kindness and humor, allowing his spirit to guide us in our relationships and interactions with others. Though he may no longer walk among us, the love he shared and the laughter he spread will forever echo in our hearts.
