Israel Perez

Elsa- Israel Perez, of Elsa, Texas, passed away on September 23, 2026, in Elsa at the age of 69. He was born on November 22, 1956, in Mercedes, Texas.

Israel will be remembered as a family man whose life was grounded in kindness and a God-fearing spirit. Those who knew him will remember the steady love he gave to his family and the warmth he shared with others.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Estella Perez. He also leaves behind his children: his son, Israel Perez Jr. and Vanessa Borrego; and his daughters, Janisse Perez, Clarissa Perez and Jimmy Garza, Cynthia Ocanas and Elias, and Aleyla Ybarra and Ysmael. His love also lives on in his grandchildren, Seth Borrego, Sean Borrego, Alyssa Gomez, Jillian Garza, Jimmy Garza Jr., Elias J. Ocanas, Catalina Ocanas, Ysra Ybarra, Avey J. Ybarra, and Benni L. Ybarra.

Israel is also survived by his brother, Ismael Perez, and his sister, Criselda Molina. He was preceded in death by his sister, Maria Perez, and by his parents, Felipe Perez and Celia Perez.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Israel at a public viewing on September 29, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens, 304 E Edinburg Ave, Elsa, Texas 78543. A funeral service will be held that same evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens.
