Hugo Cesar Mata

Brownsville - Hugo Cesar Mata, 50, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Valley Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Mata was born July 13, 1973 in Brownsville, Texas, son of Jose Abelardo Mata and Librada Garcia Mata. He is preceded in death by his father and a brother Luis Carlos Mata.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Patricia Salinas; his children, Hugo Cesar Mata Jr., Jose Raymundo Mata, Leonel Abelardo Mata, Alondra Patricia Mata; his mother, Librada Garcia Mata; brothers, Jose Abelardo Mata Jr., Carlos Everado Mata,, Gerardp Salatiel Mata; his sisters, Librada Araceli Rocha and Karla de la Pena. Also surviving him are his grandchildren, Hugo Eduardo Mata, Neilani Leticia Mata and Gian Ezequeil Mata.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Hone - Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. Chapel service is scheduled for Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Guillen Community Cemetery.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
