Hugo deja atrás a una familia devota que continuará su legado de bondad y alegría. Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Anahii Izaguirre; sus queridos hijos Hugo Santos, Jeremiah y Alfredo; y sus adoradas hijas Catalina y Sofia. También le sobreviven su madre, Felicia Lopez de Ruiz, y su padre, Hugo Ruiz, así como su hermano Daniel Ruiz y sus hermanas Amanda Ruiz y Jocelyn Ruiz, quienes lamentan la pérdida de un hijo y hermano querido. Known for his cheerful spirit, Hugo was a beacon of positivity. He cherished the simple pleasures of life, particularly enjoying gatherings where BBQs were shared surrounded by loved ones. These moments of togetherness were where his laughter and happiness shone brightest. An avid fisherman, he found peace and satisfaction in the quietude of the water, a passion that was well-known among his many friends.

Hugo leaves behind a devoted family who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and joy. He is survived by his loving wife, Anahii Izaguirre; his beloved sons Hugo Santos, Jeremiah, and Alfredo; and his cherished daughters Catalina and Sofia. His mother, Felicia Lopez de Ruiz, and father, Hugo Ruiz, along with his brother Daniel Ruiz and sisters Amanda Ruiz and Jocelyn Ruiz, also survive him, grieving the loss of a dear son and brother. His circle of friends, numerous and true, will remember him as a steadfast companion whose friendship was a gift.

The community will come together to honor Hugo's memory beginning with a viewing on April 29, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of the Heavens, located at 2929 W. Expressway 83 in Weslaco, TX. A Rosary will be held the same evening at 7:00 PM. The following day, April 30, 2026, a Funeral Service will commence at 10:00 AM at the same location, followed by interment at Val Verde Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 11:00 AM.

Hugo Santos Lopez's life, though cut short, was a vivid tapestry of happiness, friendship, and love. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace, forever surrounded by the love that he so freely gave to others.
