It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Homero R. Moron, beloved husband, father, brother and friend, who departed this life peacefully on November 3, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on July 16, 1954, in Edinburg, Texas, Homero lived a life characterized by hard work and unwavering dedication to his family and friends.
Mr. Moron is preceded in death by his parents, Bonifacio Moron, Sr. & Emilia Gutierrez; one brother, Hector Moises Moron & Juliette Castillo whom he loved as a granddaughter.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Griselda Moron, whose partnership was a source of strength and comfort throughout their years together; one son, Homero Emmanuel Moron (Lily Izaguirre); two brothers, Bonifacio Moron, Jr. (Licha), Danile Moron; three sisters, Susana Moron Martinez (Hector), Mariana Moron Martinez (Juan Rene) & Graciela Moron Garcia (Antonio). Also surviving are Aiden Jacob Castillo & Jason Castillo who he loved as grandsons. Homero's legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and the countless individuals whose lives he touched.
In honor of Homero's life, visitation will be held 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Salinas Funeral Home Elsa - Chapel of The Angels with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service.
The Funeral Service, celebrating Homero's life and his profound impact on those around him, will take place 10:00 AM, Friday, November 7, 2025, at Salinas Funeral Home Elsa - Chapel of the Angels. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers will be Homero Emmanuel Moron, Edgar Castillo, Aiden J. Castillo, Gabriel Martinez, Hector J. Martinez, Jr. & Josue Moron "Josh".
As we navigate this tremendous loss, let us remember Homero R. Moron for his kindness, strength, and the love he so freely gave. His memory will forever resonate in our hearts, inspiring us to honor his legacy of love and dedication.
