Brownsville - Hector Eduardo Siller Rodriguez, 62, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022 at his residence.

Héctor (KEKO) Eduardo Siller Rodríguez 62, passed away at his home in Brownsville, Texas on March 20, 2022. Born on September 9, 1959 in Saltillo, Coahuila, México, he was preceded in death by his Mother Maria Teresa Rodriguez Sáenz, his father Enrique Siller Flores, and his two beloved dogs Wero and Canelo. Keko was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather of 6 and incoming 7th. He leaves behind the love of his life and wife of 36 years, Irene (Nena) Hernandez Cisneros whom he married on May 25, 1985 and who together had three children - Daniela Irene Siller de Almanza [Javier Alejandro Almanza], Héctor E. Siller II [Edna Gabriela Garza de Siller] and, Marcela Alejandra Siller de Flores [Luis Flores]. Hector is survived by his brother Enrique Valentín Siller Rodríguez, Maria Teresa Siller Rodríguez, Lucía Gerardina Siller de Ramírez, Rodolfo Octavio Siller Rodríguez, his grandchildren Carlos Alejandro Almanza Siller, Daniela Victoria Almanza Siller, Sofía Gabriela Siller Garza, Hector Eduardo Siller Garza III, Mila Isabella Siller Garza and, Eva Catalina Flores Siller; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Keko was a big hearted, humble man who would steal your heart with charm, humor and good looks, he thrived on making people laugh and smile. He valued his time at home the most. The place he occupied in the life of his family can never be filled. That place will know him no more; but wherever there is humour, laughter, and joy there he has found his home. Keko grew up in Matamoros. During his early years he attended Sacred Heart school in Brownsville, then later moved on to St. Mary's Catholic school before moving to St. Anthony's catholic seminary in San Antonio where he was a star player in football, soccer, and basketball. He then attended La Universidad de Victoria where he became an Agricultural Engineer while continuing to play football. Keko, a devoted Catholic, cherished family and loved 70s rock music, animals, and the outdoors. He was a skilled carpenter, avid griller and Brownsville's paella king.
