Gustavo Vasquez Cervantes

La Villa- Gustavo Vasquez Cervantes, 68, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 15, 2022 in Elsa, Texas.

He was born on April 1, 1954 to Mr. Baldomero Cervantes and Mrs. Isabel V. Cervantes in Edinburg, Texas.

Gustavo had a strong faith in God and loved his family deeply. He lived his life to the fullest and did so by his own rules. He never met a stranger, made an impact on many and he definitely left an impression too. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending time with family and friends, as well as traveling. He will be greatly missed and remembered for his charismatic personality and unique outlook on life.

Mr. Cervantes is preceded in death by his father, Mr. Baldomero Cervantes.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Angela Marice (Agripin Jr.) Sepulveda, Gustavo Isaac Cervantes, Deo Lamar (Andrea) Cervantes, Luis Damian Cervantes; his mother, Mrs. Isabel V. Cervantes; his siblings, Elizabeth (John) Tamez, Jorge L. Cervantez, Enrique Cervantes, Baldomero (Sylvia) Cervantes Jr., Natividad (Claudio) Caceres, Patricia (Michael) Garcia, Diana (Samuel) Smith; 9 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mr. Gustavo Vasquez Cervantes are scheduled for Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Holy Rosary 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of Grace. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in La Villa, Texas. Mr. Gustavo Vasquez Cervantes will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
