Guillermo Marroquin Pena

Guillermo Marroquin Peña passed away on September 2, 2026, in Edcouch, Texas. He was born on August 16, 1938, in El Chapote Tamaulipas Mexico to Guillermo Marroquin and Felipa Peña. His long life will be remembered with love, gratitude, and deep affection by those who knew him best.

At the heart of Guillermo's life was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dora Elia Garza, whose companionship and shared years with him will remain a treasured part of his story. He also leaves behind his daughters, Alondra Marroquin Fuentes (Jesus, Jr.) and Karina Marroquin Morales (Usvaldo, Jr.). Guillermo's love also lives on in his grandchildren, Aaron Joseph Morales and Jaqueline Morales, who will carry forward cherished memories of their grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guillermo and Felipa Marroquin; his brothers, Gabino Marroquin, Luis Marroquin, Andres Marroquin, and Bartolo Marroquin, and by his sisters, Josefa Marroquin, Guadalupe Marroquin, Elida Marroquin, and Dolores Medina. Their memories remained part of the family bond that shaped his life across the years.

Family and friends are invited to honor Guillermo's life at a visitation on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens, 304 E. Edinburg Ave, Elsa, Texas 78543. A prayer service will also be held there that evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Guillermo Marroquin Peña will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and all who had the blessing of sharing in his life.
