Guadalupe P. Palomo

Weslaco - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Guadalupe P. Palomo, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and loving grandmother who departed this world peacefully on November 15, 2025, at the age of 81. She was born on August 21, 1944, in Weslaco, TX to Mr. Eliseo Peña & Mrs. Celia Mata.

Guadalupe's legacy is one of unwavering dedication to helping others. With a bachelor's degree in social work, she spent her years advocating for those in need, serving her community with grace and kindness. Her work was more than just a profession; it was a calling that she embraced wholeheartedly, touching countless lives and inspiring many.

Guadalupe is preceded in death by her parents & one son, Jose Palomo, Jr.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Jose G. Palomo; her cherished daughter, Marie Cruz; her beloved brother, Eliseo Pena (Johnnie) & her caring sister, Clara Pena Ponce (Ed+). Also surviving are ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren & one great-great granddaughter. Each of her family members feels the profound loss of a woman whose love and support were the backbone of their lives.

In remembrance of Guadalupe's extraordinary life, a visitation will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of The Heavens with a 6:00 PM Rosary. A 10:00 AM Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Weslaco on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. Following the service, we will gather for her interment at Weslaco City Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest.

Guadalupe P. Palomo will be deeply missed, but her spirit of compassion, love, and resilience will forever resonate within her family & friends. May she rest in peace.
